MISSIONS AND EVANGELISM

We are the hands and feet of Jesus. Whether it is in our own neighborhood or across the globe, we can tangibly express God’s love for humanity through our outreach projects. Join us as we extend our mission beyond our walls and share the love of Jesus in our local and global community. Covenant Church has committed a portion of our ministry budget to financially supporting missions locally and around the world.

CURRENT AND RECENT MISSION PROJECTS

• Prayer Shawl Ministry - Our Prayer Shawl ministry is in formation. This group will meet once a month. No prior skills or supplies are required.
• Coats for Kids - Collecting coats seasonally. Drop off in Family Life Center.
• Lauderdale County Jail Trustees - Providing special occasion meals and gifts for Lauderdale County Jail Trustees.
• Center for Pregnancy Choices - supporting expectant mothers through baby blessing showers and financial support.
• Nursing Home Outreach - sending notes and care bags for local nursing home residents
• Backpack Buddies - providing financial support and assisting NorthPark Church with providing and packing food for food-insecure school children
• Boys and Girls Club of East Mississippi - financial support for mission of Boys and Girls Club - to inspire and support all young people, especially those who need the organization, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens
• Free Clinic of Meridian - financial support to clinic providing free services to uninsured patients
• Project Inspire - financial support for program aimed to curb violent crime among at-risk youth in our community.
• SIFAT - financial support for the mission of Servants in Faith and Technology
• Stronger Together - financial support to veteran-founded organization established to help families and friends affected by suicide
• FCA Breakfast of Champions - financial supporter
• Good News Jail Ministry Banquet - table sponsor
• City of Meridian Easter Egg Hunt - donated prize baskets
• Community Back to School Event - event hosted by Covenant Church for neighborhood families
• United Way Stuff the Bus - collection of school supplies
• Hurricane Helene Relief - financial support
• High School FCA Breakfasts - food donations
• Sleep in Heavenly Peace - bed build for children in our community

WORLDWIDE MISSIONS

• Compassion International - sponsorship of two impoverished children, two family water wells and income generation.
• Reclaimed Project Africa - financial support for mission trip providing services in Lesotho, Africa
• Go and Teach Now - financial support for mission worker providing English instruction and developing disciples of Jesus Christ who will serve their communities
• But God Ministries - financial sponsorship of ten children in Haiti
• Soles4Souls - collecting shoes for Soles4Souls Ministry
